HOW THE COURT DIVIDE ASSET AFTER DIVORCE?
The court would divide the asset acquired during the marriage by joint contribution of the spouses with following reasons;
1) contribution of the spouses in the form of money, work or asset;
2) debt of the spouses; OR
3) need of young child.
I DO NOT CONTRIBUTE MONEY TO THE PURCHASE OF MATRIMONIAL ASSET, AM I ENTITLE TO IT?
It depend. The court will consider non monetary contribution by either parties when divide the monetary asset such as you had resigned from your work and work as a full time house wife to take care of the child.
ASSET BOUGHT BEFORE MARRIAGE SUBJECT TO DIVISION?
It depend. If bought before marriage but after that you had make a lot of contribution to it during the marriage ,subject to division.
